After Yuna finished crying her eyes out, she told her father, “The reason why I chose to become Princess Ara’s teacher is for that reason only. The Empress plans on marrying off Princess Ara to a prince of the Miyon Kingdom. In the future, The Empress and the Nation of Miyon will be allies, until Miyon decides to betray our country. They will start a war and our country will be at a disadvantage.”
Yuna began explaining her plans in detail, “The reason for becoming a teacher is so that Princess Ara will have to spend the next few years studying than getting married. This will prevent the Empress from becoming allies with the nation of Miyon. I’m sure that she’ll probably try to get rid of us with any chance she’s got. If possible, I would like your help in avoiding living in the palace.”
Her father nodded, “I would never allow for you to live in that dangerous place. I can’t believe you planned all this without consulting me or your mother. What would have happened if things didn’t go as smoothly at Princess Ara’s party? We wouldn’t have known anything, and you could’ve been in serious danger.” He seemed upset with her for not telling the truth sooner.
Yuna bowed her head and apologized, “I’m sorry father. I just didn’t want you to think that I was crazy for telling the truth. In the future, I will consult with you about all of my plans.”
Her father patted her back, “That’s right. You should trust in your father and mother. I will do anything to protect you. So, don’t believe that you are all alone in this world. You have all of us. We will work together to overcome any obstacles in the near future.”
Yuna felt loved by her family. She hadn’t felt this in her first lifetime. She smiled at her father, “I’m so glad I told you the truth. In this lifetime, I’ll make sure to rely on you and mother more. I’m sure we can get through this.”
Her father replied, “We definitely will. I plan on informing the Emperor that you are too young to reside in the palace. I also know that you’ll have to visit the palace in order to teach the princess. I have already thought of this before you mentioned it. I spoke with a fellow General that is known to be the youngest General in history. He is as talented as I was back in the day. He could be trusted. I’ve worked along with this General in the battlefield despite his age. He is capable of so much; I doubt that he would be untrustworthy. He decided to help you guard against assassins while I’m busy with the investigation.”
Yuna remembered something when her father mentioned him. In her past lifetime, there was a young boy that became a general. He worked alongside her father, but she never had the chance to meet him. She didn’t care about anything that had to do with her father. He was known throughout the capital for his victories in battle. He was almost as famous as her father in the battlefield.
She wasn’t particularly interested in the kid because Minho was constantly on her mind. She regretted her past self for being so blind to everything around her. If she would’ve paid more attention, she would have met the kid. She grew curious about his identity and asked her father, “So, what’s his name?”
Her father lifted an eyebrow when he heard her question. He didn’t expect that she would be curious about the boy. He answered, “His name is Choi, Eunho. He’s not much older than you. I think that he’ll be like an older brother to you. You must show your respect to him when you meet him. Although he’s around the same age as you, he’s accomplished a lot for his age. It’s only right that you treat him with utmost respect.”
Yuna nodded, “I’ll make sure to uphold our family name. I won’t disappoint you. I’m not sure if I’ll get along with him, but since I trust father, I’m sure he won’t be a bad person.” Her father pinched her cheeks when she spoke. He found her adorable. She finally looked like a proper daughter that knew to rely on her parents.
In the past, he constantly felt worried for her because she chose to act independently. He hardly saw this side of her. It made him feel happy to know that he was seen as a reliable parent. He didn’t know how he was in that other lifetime she mentioned, but he would make sure to never be that way towards his family.
While lost in thought about his cute little daughter, he noticed that she had fallen asleep. The blanket that was covering her fell off while she was deep in conversation with him earlier. He grabbed the fallen blanket and placed it over her shoulders. He wrapped the blanket snugly around her like a burrito. He then held her up in a princess carry and took her to her bedroom.
He placed her on the luxurious bed and kissed her on her forehead. He whispered, “Good night, my little princess.” While in her room, he noticed that there were countless number of books that were scattered on the ground. He furrowed his eyebrows at how messy her room was. What were all the maids doing? He felt frustrated for his daughter when he saw the state of her room.
He didn’t pay much attention to the maids and servants in the household because he was distracted with work as a general and prime minister. He would have to ask his wife about this later. He then left Yuna’s personal residence and walked to his wife’s bedroom. He noticed that his wife was not in bed and she was restlessly pacing around waiting for him.
He approached her quietly and hugged her from behind. She was shocked by his sudden appearance but relaxed in his embrace afterwards. They spent the entire night conversing with his wife about what Yuna had told him. At first, Sena was reluctant to believe any of it, but soon realized that there were some truths to Yuna’s predictions. They then planned on working together to keep their family safe.
Sena felt distraught with what Yuna said. She felt that the reason for her survival was because of Yuna. She didn’t know how an infant could change the future, but she had. She was standing there alive and well. Sena felt that their daughter was an angel from heaven that was sent to save her life. She vowed to live the rest of her life with their family in harmony and they would live happily. If there were any obstacles, they would fight them together regardless of how difficult it may be.
