Most of the guards in front, knew how she looked. She had to be extra careful not to cause a commotion. Yuna hid behind walls while observing the surroundings for any guards. She watched as some maids were chatting and laughing. While they were distracted, she quickly ran across to another building that was closer to the main gate.

She peeked out from her hiding spot to see who was guarding the front. Unluckily for her, there were many guards today. After the kidnapping incident, the number of guards increased significantly. It was obvious that Eunho and her father were being extremely cautious of any intruders.

This was going to be a lot more difficult than she thought. While she was staring at the guards in front, she overheard the maids. The head maid discovered the two girls chatting leisurely while neglecting their duties. She scolded them, “You should be working right now. Chatting can be done during your break time. Get back to work now!”

One of the maids explained, “We are working. We were just heading over to that building over there, to get the laundry.” Yuna was shocked to

see that the maid pointed in her direction. She looked around to find a large basket filled with laundry. Yuna swiftly leapt into the basket and hid inside the piles of stinky laundry. She felt like vomiting, but she couldn’t reveal herself. She pinched her nose to block the stinky scent of dirty laundry.

She found that the basket had tiny holes which allowed her to peek through them. Why hadn’t she thought of this sooner? It was the ticket to sneaking out without getting caught. The laundry maids were constantly going in and out of the residence to do laundry at the lake. The lake was outside of her residence.

While peeking through the holes, she saw the two maids rush over to the basket quickly. The head maid observed as they did their work. She complained, “If I see you chitchatting without doing work one more time, I’ll have to tell the madam that there are only a bunch of slackers in her residence. Then, you won’t be allowed to work here anymore.”

The maids were paid generously, and no one wanted to quit working there. The madam and their miss were especially friendly, and she treated them well. They constantly heard maids from other residences that complained about their work conditions. They had it easy working at the Kim Residence.

The two maids apologized, “We’ll make sure to work hard. Please don’t tell madam that we were slacking off.” The head maid said, “I’ll let this go this time. There better not be a next time.” The maids spoke simultaneously, “Yes ma’am!”

They picked up the basket that Yuna was in without much effort. Maids were known to be very strong in her household. They were trained in martial arts to defend from intruders. Yuna had no problems hiding in a pile of laundry. The maids wouldn’t know the difference. They were strong enough to not notice that a little girl was hiding in the basket.

The maids walked over to the main gate with the pile of laundry. The guards noticed them and nodded at them to exit the residence. When the maids put her down, one of them started complaining, “I hate her so much. She’s always nagging about us. We were just chatting while working, there’s no reason for her to be so strict. If only she wasn’t working here, this job would be a lot easier, don’t you agree?”

The other maid agreed, “I agree. She’s constantly nitpicking at us. I’m sick and tired of her. Let’s make sure to keep our guards up when she’s around.” The other maid nodded in agreement, “Why don’t we take a quick

break while outside of the residence? If we go back in there, she’s only going to yell at us.”

The maids put the basket down next to the river and they both dunked their feet into the cool stream of water. They began playing in the river. While they were distracted, Yuna got out from the laundry basket and threw all the clothes back into the laundry. She smelt kind of weird, but that’s normally how men smell, right?

She was disguised as a male servant, so maybe being stinky might fit her disguise well. She ruffled up her hair to cover her face more. She looked in the water to see her reflection. She still had feminine features that were obvious. She needed something else to cover her face more. She looked in the dirty laundry and found a hooded cloak.

She didn’t like that it smelled, but it was better than being discovered too quickly. It was dangerous going out to the markets without a proper disguise. She could easily get kidnapped if bad people discovered a beautiful lady walking around. They would steal her belongings and kidnap her.



She put the cloak on and ran towards the marketplace. While running down the river, she caught a boy that was taking off his shirt. She jumped into the bushes and hid. She wasn’t trying to be a pervert or anything. She needed to hide so that she wouldn’t be killed for peeking at him. The boy had a clothe that wrapped around his chest area, almost as if he was actually a girl in disguise.

It was a complete coincidence that Yuna had come across another girl that was also disguised as a boy. She was so shocked she almost made a sound. She quickly covered her mouth and tried to calm down her breathing. She needed to be more careful. The girl had sharp hearing and she heard someone in the bushes.

She quickly put her clothes back on and shouted, “Who’s there?” Yuna remained still. It was better for her to just hide. She’d probably think that it was some animal. She waited quietly in the bushes. She didn’t dare peek anymore. She was too scared of being caught staring. She closed her eyes and calmed her breathing.

In the next few seconds, she felt someone pull her out from in the bushes. They pulled her cloak up and she was dangling in the air. Her

petite figure made her extremely light. She easily lifted her up from inside the bushes. Yuna stared into the eyes of the girl. Her eyes were green, and it was unlike what she was used to. All Guwon citizens looked similar to Korean people in the world she previously lived in. She never met anyone Korean that had vibrant green eyes, unless they were wearing colored contacts.

She was amazed by her appearance. She looked like a famous male actor that she once watched in a Korean Drama. Yuna wondered why there were so many good-looking people in this world. There was no such thing as plastic surgery, so why did everyone she met look so beautiful? She had no clue.

The girl had long black hair that was tied up neatly in a bun above her head. Most men with long hair had manbuns in this world. She was also very tall for a girl. Yuna wouldn’t have known that the boy was actually a girl if she hadn’t caught her taking off her clothes. Her disguise was perfect. It was better than her own disguise. Hopefully she won’t be too angry that she found out her secret, right?
