Meanwhile, Eunho scoured the forest for Yuna. He could not find her anywhere. He kept wondering where she could have gone. She most likely wasn’t kidnapped from the way her clothes were left behind. She must’ve changed into a disguise and snuck out. The only place he could think of was the marketplace that wasn’t too far away.
He gathered the soldiers to search the marketplace. He had no idea if Yuna was kidnapped or if she snuck out. He was extremely worried about her. He knew that there were bandits in the area that threatened the daily lives of innocent citizen. Some were unfortunate enough to lose their lives while dealing with these bandits.
Every time he searched the marketplace for a trace of their whereabouts, they would go into hiding. He was not successful in capturing these bandits to be put behind bars. It wasn’t because he wasn’t capable, it was because these bandits were extremely familiar with the layout of the marketplace.
It was easy for them to get away from his pursuits. He had no clue where their hideout was located. He had searched the entire marketplace and there were no clues left behind. He had come across a few of those bandits, but none of them were captured.
He hoped that Yuna was safe and those bandits weren’t there to harm her in any way. He rushed to the marketplace in hopes of finding Yuna alive. He was desperate to find her even if he had to risk his own life in the process.
When he arrived at the marketplace, he searched the famous tea house. Most people that visited the marketplace would drop by the famous tea house. He looked through the private rooms one by one. He didn’t mean to intrude on their privacy, but he needed to find Yuna at all costs.
He apologized for interrupting the few customers. He opened the next door and found a girl in the arms of three different men. From one glance, most would believe her to be an angel. She was so beautiful that no man would be able to withstand her charm. This applied to almost all men excluding Eunho.
He wasn’t interested in anyone, but Yuna. When the door opened with a bang, Haemi noticed that there was a stranger at the door. She was in the middle of seducing the three men to become her boy toys, but she was interrupted. She turned her head to see who the stranger was. Her eyes met the boy that had entered.
He oozed with manly charm and his face resembled an ancient god. He was so beautiful, she felt that her beauty paled in comparison to his. Haemi knew that if she stuck close to him, she would definitely escape from her predicament. Her father was no good and the only option she had was to get married to a successful man.
It was hard for her to find a man that was her age that met her requirements. Most of the men she knew were younger and immature. She needed a strong dependable man to help her escape her current life. She wasn’t lucky enough to get the same privileges as her cousin, Yuna. She had her sights on the second prince ever since she met him.
The only problem was that her family had no power. She wasn’t given many opportunities to meet any of the princes in the royal family. She was shocked to find another good man before her. He was beyond beautiful compared to Prince Minho. She knew that this man was from a powerful family. She could tell just by his attire. He had a personalized sigil of a panther on his garments. He had to be someone important.
She knew that he wasn’t a prince, but she knew that he had the respect of the emperor, just by the sigil that marked his clothing. Only war-heroes and people of particularly high statuses wore clothes with a personalized sigil. His clothing was not only expensive, but it was also impossible for normal people to own.
She could only dream of meeting a man with such a high status. Haemi was unsuccessful in finding a man that fit both requirements, beauty and power. Powerful men were not particularly handsome, and it was hard to come across a man that fit both criteria.
All this time, Haemi had a difficult time finding the right man and it all lead to her meeting the man of her destiny. She grew impatient thinking about how this piece of treasure of a man would disappear instantly. Haemi had her sights on Eunho the instant she laid eyes on him. If she hardly had the opportunity to meet up with the princes, she would have to hook a bigger fish before it was too late.
She stood up in a daze and walked over to Eunho. Eunho watched as the girl walked towards him. His intuition told him that this girl wasn’t just any ordinary commoner. She had a way with men that caused them to fall into her traps. He had noticed this in his previous lifetime. She had the tendency to hook men in like a siren out to get the poor souls of innocent men.
He wasn’t easily swept into her play. Fortunately for him, he never had the opportunity to interact with the girl. He had come across many incidents with Haemi and Yuna involved. He was always hidden in the shadows while he watched the interactions between Haemi and Yuna.
He found Haemi to be two-faced. He never believed that Haemi would actually try to harm Yuna. He just thought it was how girls normally reacted to Yuna. Most women were jealous of Yuna and her background. He eventually found out that Haemi was the cause of Yuna’s downfall and death. Haemi and Minho both played roles in getting rid of Yuna.
He felt disgusted by Haemi and everything she stood for. None of her ideals were based on helping others. Haemi was extremely selfish and the only thing she could think about was herself. Eunho felt the need to escape
from his current predicament. He didn’t have the time to waste on Haemi. He would eventually find an opportunity to get rid of Haemi in this lifetime, but it currently wasn’t the right time for that. He had to find Yuna before she got herself into trouble.
Before Haemi could reach him, his beautiful voice brought shivers down her arms, “I’m sorry for interrupting your time. I was just looking for someone. I’ll be on my way.” Haemi instantly leapt towards him when she found out that he was leaving without getting to know her.
She found him interesting. He wasn’t like the other men that fawned over her. He wasn’t an easy target. With her sharp thinking, Haemi pulled her garments in the chest area to reveal some of her cleavage. This was one of her tricks that made men go crazy. He would definitely fall for it.
Eunho wasn’t interested in helping Haemi after what she’d done to Yuna. He backed away from her in disgust. Haemi noticed that something was wrong. Usually, men would dive towards her to prevent her fall. How come this man was backing away?
Before she could faceplant, one of her men leapt through the air and caught her. She cried beautifully in his arms. Eunho could tell by a glance that Haemi was acting. The fall didn’t look like it hurt much especially since one of her boy toys were able to catch her.
He had no interest in the girl whatsoever. He let the girl begin acting out her melodrama while he turned around the leave. Haemi felt depressed when her acting wasn’t doing anything. It was easy for her to get a man’s sympathy, but it wasn’t working on him.
Eunho felt the urge to vomit when he thought of Haemi. How could all those men like being around her? They were stupid to not notice her two different faces. The only reason why she felt the need to hook men in like fish were because she used them like disposables. He wasn’t interested in a girl that found men to be her playthings.
He would rather be single the rest of his life than to deal with a woman like her. He especially hated scheming women. They were constantly trying to get his attention, but none were lucky. He would never be with anyone, but Yuna. He had vowed in his past life.
Haemi shoved her boytoy away and hugged Eunho from behind.
He shoved the girl away from him and coldly replied, “What are you doing? If you don’t get away from me, this instant, I will make sure that you won’t be able to leave this restaurant safely.” There were tears in Haemi’s eyes. She cried beautifully, “I was just trying to get to know you, do you really have to act this way towards me? I didn’t do anything wrong.”
Eunho scoffed at her theatrics. She was good at acting, but he wasn’t going to fall for that easily. He coldly cut off her ridiculous acting, “I have no interest in a woman like you. I need to be somewhere, so get out of my way.”
When Haemi felt that she was losing him, she changed her tactics. It was time for her to use her body to get his attention. She grabbed his wrist and attempted to rub her chest on his arm. She failed miserably when Eunho shoved her and she fell on her butt.
The men glared back at Eunho and shouted, “HOW DARE YOU HARM LADY HAEMI! YOU WON’T GET AWAY THAT EASILY!” The men leapt towards him in fury. Eunho had no choice, but to escape through the window to avoid the three angry men.
Haemi felt her heart drop when he fell out the window. She felt arrows struck her heart when she discovered that he was extremely agile. When he landed on the floor, his body naturally rolled and landed on his feet. None of her boytoys knew how to do that. She stared out the window in a daze and shouted, “When will I get to meet you?”
Eunho heard her, but he didn’t acknowledge her existence. He dashed away from Haemi in disgust. When he was out of her sight, she gasped as if she was madly in love. She whispered to herself, “How could anyone be so charming?” The men that were at the restaurant felt their hearts break when they heard her mutter to herself.
They tried so hard to give her everything she wanted, but none of them were able to succeed in getting the girl. Suddenly some random stranger shows up and she’s already in love. The men cried in their hearts. None of their efforts were a success. If only Haemi would give them a chance, they would definitely make her the happiest wife in the world.
Haemi was frozen in place after the man escaped her clutches. She had never come across any man that treated her so coldly. She was lost in thought. She thought that she would succeed this time. She always had in the past. How was it so different this time? Why didn’t that man fall for her charms?
