Eunho wasn’t too interested in sparring with the general because he didn’t want Yuna to be suspicious of him or feel threatened by him. Eunho had trained in both his past life and in this life. He grew extremely strong because of his training and experience. In reality, he was stronger than Yuna’s father, but he didn’t want her to find out.
He was just getting used to being around Yuna, but she could grow suspicious of him in the future. He didn’t want her to misunderstand. Yuna was very smart, and he didn’t want her to find out that he knew her from his past life. She would think he’s crazy. Afterall, it was impossible for him to already know how to navigate the battlefield and fight enemies at a young age.
He quickly changed the subject, “Should we start your training tomorrow morning?” Yuna nodded, “Yeah, lets start tomorrow. I’m ready.” Eunho smiled when he heard her response. The smile he had on his face was a deceptive one. He knew that she wouldn’t be this excited after the first day of training was over.
She would probably have the same face as all the soldiers he trained. They would come back home with an extremely sore body, and they would be happy to see the bed. None of his soldiers were happy about having to train. They were constantly complaining about how difficult his training regimen was. He would like to see how Yuna would react.
Yuna on the other hand felt differently. She knew how hard his training was going to be. She also knew the repercussions of the extremely difficult training. Her body wasn’t built for intense exercise. She could already feel the differences of this body and the one she had on earth. She met with many doctors, but each of them would tell her the same thing.
They told her that she was healthy, but the only problem was that she had weak bones. She hadn’t studied medicine, so she had no clue whether that was the truth or not. She hoped that there would be a way to become strong even with weak bones. She wasn’t going to let her fears stop her from trying.
She was willing to go through the harsh training regardless of how her body’s constitution was. That was how much she wanted to prove to everyone that females can be just as strong as men.
Eunho said, “If you’re going to start training tomorrow, maybe you should go back to bed. Training starts first thing in the morning.” Yuna didn’t want to go back to bed. Ever since she had that nightmare, she was wide awake. There was no way she would go back to bed. Yuna sighed, “The reason I came outside was to clear my mind. I couldn’t sleep.”
Eunho asked, “You still should go back to bed. It’s kind of cold out.” Yuna frowned, “I’ll be fine. You can go to bed if you want.” She didn’t budge from her seat. She was refusing to go to bed like a kid. Eunho swooped her into his arms in a princess style hold.
Yuna’s eyes grew big when he suddenly held her. She could feel his hard chest next to her. She felt awkward because she had no clue where to put her arms. If she put her arms in front, it felt like she was making it more difficult to carry her. Was she heavy? She quickly put her arms around his shoulders and to the back of his neck.
He gazed into her eyes when he held her. She felt her heart squeeze and there were butterflies in her stomach. His soft breath tickled her neck whenever he would look down. Eunho whispered into her ear, “Hold on tight.” Yuna was shocked to find herself floating in midair.
Eunho leapt into the air swiftly and fell downwards with rapid speed. It felt like she was on a rollercoaster. Her stomach quenched tightly. They fell through the sky fast. She held onto him tightly and shut her eyes in fear. She was afraid. Eunho noticed that she was scared, so he patted her back lightly.
He whispered, “Yuna, don’t be scared. I’ve got you. I won’t let anything bad happen to you. You should open your eyes.” She opened her eyes and found that they weren’t falling from the sky. He was leaping from tree to tree to get to her courtyard. The stars from up above the treetops were beautiful.
It felt like they were flying through the sky. She could almost touch the moon. The air was cold, but somehow refreshing. It would be nice if she learned how to jump from tree to tree the way Eunho knew. She could probably get used to this. She imagined herself enjoying the stars from above the largest tree.
She enjoyed spending time alone so that would be a great hiding spot. She especially enjoyed star gazing and cloud gazing. It would be awesome to learn how to jump around as if flying to her destination.
Eunho noticed her eyes sparkling along with the stars in the sky. He wished that this moment would last. He loved the way her eyes sparkled with hope, and he yearned to see that expression. Lately, he only saw the sad and defeat expression. It hurt his heart whenever he saw her with that expression. It made him happy to see her so happy and awestruck with the scenery from above the treetops.
He subconsciously hugged her closer to him when he saw that expression. She noticed that his hand on her back was pressing her towards him. Yuna’s face flushed red, and her heart was beating at a terrible speed. No matter how much she wanted to push him away, she couldn’t. She didn’t want to fall to her death.
She continued to hug him tightly. He felt her breath on his neck. His ears turned bright red. She knew he was blushing. She had the sudden urge to nibble his ear, but she didn’t want him to think she was weird. She held herself back.
He was too distracted with her breath on his ear, he missed a branch. She felt them falling through the trees. He felt her shift from his grip. She yelped into his ear. She’s so cute. He wanted to hug her tighter.
