Chapter 89 - HIBI

Yuna had no clue how she ended up in this situation. She dreamt that she was chasing a chicken leg when she suddenly felt someone’s breath on her face. She instantly woke up to find a handsome face inches away from hers. His face reflected under the moonlight was extremely mesmerizing. His long eyelashes and seductive lips made her gulp. If only she had met a handsome man like this in the modern world…

She shook her head to clear her mind of such thoughts. How in the world did she end up in this situation? The last thing she remembered was eating tons of delicious food. Was she drugged? She grew suspicious of the innocently sleeping man next to her. Despite his handsome appearance, he was sly like a fox.

It would be a terrible idea to fall for such a man. His scheming is even better than the palace ladies. She began shivering thinking about what he could’ve done to her while she was asleep. She looked down and noticed that her outer hanbok was removed. This could only mean that he took it off while she was sleeping!

Thinking about him touching her made her face burn red. She yanked the blanket to cover herself. Her instincts told her she should be screaming in this situation. It was a completely normal reaction to scream. She was a virgin and had no experience in that sort of thing. She wanted to kick him down there for assaulting a sleeping woman. How could a handsome man be so perverted?

Any thoughts of harming the sleeping prince were cut short when she thought of the consequences. If she kicked him down there, there would be serious repercussions. The crown prince could easily execute her for causing a royal to become infertile. Thoughts of her head being chopped off replayed in her head. She knew exactly what it felt like to have her head chopped off. That’s how she died in her first life.

She swallowed her scream and glared bitterly at the man. Tears formed in the corner of her eye. She clenched her fist in frustration. If she isn’t allowed to harm him, it would be better to get revenge a different way. She looked around the dark room. She found a brush and ink on the desk nearby.

An idea formed in her mind. Let’s make him look like a panda! She tiptoed to the desk and dipped the brush in the ink. She went back to the bed and glared menacingly at the sleeping prince. The brush lightly touched his face. He must’ve noticed that something was on his face because he was swatting at her like a fly. It was a good thing that her reflexes were quick. She almost got swatted away by him.

He grumbled then went back to sleep without noticing her presence. She quickly brought the brush back to his face. She drew large dark circles around his eyes to make him look like a panda. She made sure to draw a dot on his nose.

After successfully drawing on his face, she examined her masterpiece. She almost burst out laughing. He really did look like a panda. She bit down on her sleeve to prevent from laughing loudly. She couldn’t look at his face anymore. She was at risk of getting caught. It was difficult enough to hold back her laughter.

She put the brush back on the desk and looked around her to find some clothes. The room was a lot darker than she expected. The sky was dark indicating that it was late night or early morning. This is the perfect chance for her to escape and find any clues of Sunmi’s whereabouts.

She found a dark hanbok amongst the rest in the dresser by the bed. She hurriedly put the dark hanbok on and tied it neatly in front. She tied her hair up in a bun and snuck out of the room. Once she was out of the room, she sighed in relief. Yuna wondered how she was able to sneak out without getting caught so easily. He must be a heavy sleeper. That’s not a good trait to have especially as the crown prince. He needs to be more careful if he wants to live.

No wonder he died so early at a young age. Yuna had no clue how wrong her thoughts were. The crown prince wasn’t weak at all. If she knew that he could easily defeat an army alone, she wouldn’t be misunderstanding like this.

Her misunderstanding led her to believe that it would be best to train him to become stronger. This could prevent him from dying so early. The only problem with this was that she wasn’t strong herself yet. Although she was growing stronger with her meditation and she had a good idea about some modern martial arts moves. She still didn’t have much experience in battle.

Even though she isn’t strong yet, it would only be a matter of time before she can be confident in her fighting. She just needed to continue meditating and practicing the moves in her memories. Since stamina isn’t a problem anymore, she could easily use the moves to fight anyone.

Wasn’t it similar to games in a way? Since she already knew certain martial arts moves, she could think of it as a combo. She could find a right way to use the moves as a combo. The only problem with this idea was that the situation is different every time. Maybe she could create combo moves based on the situation.

Martial arts is convenient when fighting close ranged opponents, but it would be great if she could find a way to create moves that are long ranged. If only this world had magic in it… She could easily fire blast an opponent.

Wait. How did she not think of this earlier? Even if there isn’t magic like in fantasy novels, there is similar objects on modern earth; the fire blower and guns! She would have to get her hands on gunpowder and get the right materials to create a gun. It’s not impossible.

If Yuna wanted to become stronger, she needed to get out of the palace as quick as possible. She would have to save Sunmi and go back to her family. It would be much easier for her to create a gun if she went back home. She already had tons of resources at home to create a gun. It would be impossible to do anything here.
