Chapter 92: HIBI

Princess Ara panicked, "You can't. He'll hurt you." Yuna knew what Ara was worried about, but she needed to find out more about the Dark Lord. She explained, "I'll dress up as a maid. He doesn't know who I am. Everything will be okay. Just trust me."

Princess Ara suddenly began crying, "It's not what you think. He's a lot more scarier than you think. He sacrifices people for a god that no one has ever heard of. Miyon citizens have this religion that worships the King as the vessel to the Dark Lord (god). This is the reason he is called the Dark Lord. The sacrifices make him grow stronger. I witnessed him grow stronger once someone is sacrificed. It was the most horrible thing anyone could witness."

Ara began shivering and she seemed lost in her thoughts. She seemed terrified by the things in her memories. Yuna shook her out of her nightmarish thoughts, "Princess, don't be scared. No normal human can grow stronger from murdering someone. He probably just fooled you." Ara looked at Yuna in disappointment, "I thought you would believe me."

There was hurt in Ara's expression. Yuna felt guilty not believing in Princess Ara's words. It seemed unbelievable that there was a human being that could sacrifice another person and grow stronger. Yuna had a difficult time accepting it as reality. She would have to see for herself whether this was possible. Yuna calmed Ara down, "Its not that I don't believe you, I just don't know much information. I'll have to witness for myself what he is capable of. I also need you to trust me. I'm a lot stronger than you think I am."

It seemed that Yuna's words of encouragement were working. Ara calmed down and decided to trust in Yuna. She said, "I trust you, Yuna. I hope that we can find a way out of this situation." Yuna patted Ara's head and said, "I'll protect you. He can't do anything to me. I will help you the best that I can. I do need more information about him though."

Ara replied, "I'll try my best to answer all your questions. I know a lot about him because he treats me like a doll. He thinks that I can't do anything since I can't see." It made Yuna sad listening to Ara calling herself a doll. Yuna wanted to beat the crap out of this dark lord guy the more she heard about him. He sounded like a crazy lunatic that murdered people for fun. He also has the traits of a dictator.

If Yuna's suspicions were correct, he must be the mastermind that plotted everything in her past life. If things continue down this road, the whole world might be destroyed by this lunatic dictator. She wondered if Minho and Haemi lived happily after she died. They probably also perished alongside everyone else. Miyon Nation was at war with Guwon when she died.

If everything was planned out by the dark lord, he expected Minho to throw me away and enrage my father , the general during war. If my father revolted with his army, Guwon would've lost to the war with no military to fight against Miyon. How would Minho and Haemi survive this? She suspected that their happiness was short in that life.

The idea that Haemi and Minho weren't happy for long should've made her feel happy, but for some reason she didn't feel happiness nor sadness. She couldn't care less how Haemi and Minho lived. She wondered instead, what happened to her father? She also wondered what Eunho was doing at that moment.

Was Eunho a successful General? Was he also a part of the war? She wondered if they ever met. Why didn't she meet him first before Minho? That thought suddenly popped up in her mind. She didn't want to admit it, but she missed him. Eunho is an awkward person, but he's kind. Whenever she thought of him, she naturally thought superhero. He always shows up out of nowhere like a superhero. He's always saving her in various situations.

She missed seeing him pop up. She wondered if he would be at the palace. Yuna suddenly asked Ara, "Have you heard anything about my parents? Has anyone been searching for me?" Ara nodded, "Yes, both your father and another man has been searching for your whereabouts. I forgot to mention that I informed both of them that you were in the palace. I just had a difficult time finding out where my brother kept you. I was going to inform them that I found you once I knew you were in my brother's private residence."

Yuna quickly cleared up the misunderstanding, "I'm not staying at Prince Minho's residence. I'm currently hiding out in Crown Prince Jimin's residence." Princess Ara was surprised, "Brother Jimin? You know brother Jimin?" Yuna nodded, "You could say that we're friends. I just needed somewhere to hide." She agreed, "No one can threaten my brother Jimin, not even brother Minho. Its good that you're hiding there. I would like to let you stay with me, but the mother Empress likes to check up on me often. It wouldn't be good if she found you living with me."

Yuna was shocked to find out that Princess Ara knew more than she thought. She knows everything that goes on in the palace. She knows a lot more about the situation than she did. Yuna asked, "Do you know what they're planning?" Ara nodded, "Mother Empress is trying to send me off to marriage to the dark lord to become allies with the Miyon Nation. The problem is Miyon doesn't have the intention to become allies. Their true intention is to take over Guwon from the inside out. I've warned mother, but she doesn't believe me."

Yuna said, "Don't trust her. She only has her own personal goals in mind. She won't listen even if Guwon gets destroyed. She only cares about her position as Empress. I think it's best if we first figure out how we can defeat the dark lord first." Ara agreed and said, "I'll listen to whatever you plan." Yuna nodded, "First, we need to save Sun. She's like my sister."

Ara looked confused, "I thought you were an only child. I never heard that you had a sister." Yuna explained, "She's not my blood sister, but my family decided to adopt her. I know I shouldn't be hiding anything from you, but you're royalty... Both your father and brothers don't like anyone Ezraen. I assume that you think the same?"

Ara quickly denied her suspicions, "I don't hate them. Only my father and brother Minho hate Ezraens. Why are we talking about this?" Yuna sighed, "Sun is Ezraen. She was captured as a war slave and sold at the slave market. My family saved her and decided to adopt her." Ara seemed shocked, "Don't most make their slaves into servants? Why did they adopt her?"

Yuna could understand why Ara asked this. If a slave is bought, they were treated as servants. She found it odd that her family chose to adopt her instead. Yuna explained, "The reason is because I believe that people aren't determined by their status. One day someone can be a peasant and become someone great. One day someone can be a noble and lose it all the next day. It doesn't change who they are. It only changes by what happens in life. I believe a person's fate should not be determined by what happens, but by their own will."

Yuna's sentence opened up a whole new world of ideas in Ara's mind. She pictured a world without slaves and social statuses. It was a different idea that would change the world. At this moment, she admired Yuna even more.

Yuna continued to explain, "Nothing is set in stone. Anyone can change their own destiny, if they work hard. It doesn't matter if you're a girl or a boy, black or white, or if you're different from everyone else. I believe that everyone should be given that chance to change their own destiny. Don't you think so?" Ara grew inspired by Yuna.

She always believed that being a female was difficult. Everyone told her that as a woman she should only hope to get married to a good husband. No one explained to her that she could choose her own fate. No one ever told her that she had a choice. At this moment, she vowed in her heart that she would believe in herself more.

She gained the courage and spoke up, "I want to help you. I can help you find her. I know the palace very well. I don't care if she's Ezraen. I truly want to help you and your sister. In exchange please help me avoid this marriage."
