Chapter 94 HIBI

It has been 3 years since the disappearance of Yuna. Why was everything so different from the past? Did his involvement with Yuna change everything? Eunho had no clue what he had done to change things. Even in this life he couldn’t protect her. He looked at his reflection in the lake and saw his worn out self. He had no appetite and all he could think of was Yuna.

He had an entire army backing him and he was not short of fame nor fortune, but he still didn’t have enough power to protect the one person he cared about the most. During the 3 years that Yuna was missing, he searched everywhere. He even searched for her in the palace, but wasn’t able to find her. It was extremely difficult to get into the palace.

The palace was enormous and it contained many different buildings with courtyards. He barely had the chance to enter the palace during those 3 years. He frequented the palace when there was war, but now it was a peaceful time. He couldn’t visit the palace as much as a general. He could only rely on Yuna’s father to search the palace. Yuna’s father was a former general that was currently working as prime minister. People would still call him General to this day.

A few months went by after the disappearance of Yuna. It was clear that Prince Minho had kidnapped Yuna, but it wasn’t easy to speak to him. He was a prince afterall. Eunho didn’t feel the need to speak to Minho. Even if he did, he knew that Minho wouldn’t easily reveal her location. After careful planning, he was able to get a few of his soldiers to enter the palace as spies.

This plan was extremely risky. His soldiers were at risk of being discovered, but he had no choice. It wasn’t too difficult for his soldiers to enter the palace. Minho was very cruel to his servants and guards. His servants were dwindling because of his harsh treatment of them. The public still viewed him as a handsome and young prince, but the servants knew about his hot tempered personality. It was hard to get people to work for him when all he cared about was himself.

Eunho used this flaw to get his soldiers to infiltrate his palace. This part was easy, but it was still difficult finding Yuna. He didn’t know if Minho sensed that there were spies in his palace, but he couldn’t find a trace of anything regarding Yuna. Minho was seen to be hanging around his new concubine’s residence majority of the time. It disgusted him to think that Prince Minho would hide Yuna from everyone and still be able to mess around with his concubine. It was normal for men to have concubines, but Eunho found it repulsive. If he could be with Yuna, he wouldn’t need any other woman in his life. He would treasure her and protect her from everyone.

While lost in thought, he sensed footsteps approaching him. He could tell by the light footsteps that it was one of his soldiers. The soldier appeared before him and bowed, “General, we have discovered Miss Yuna’s whereabouts. Would you like us to notify Prime Minister Junho of this?” Eunho felt his heart squeeze in his chest when he heard that Yuna was found. He grabbed the soldier’s collar and frantically asked, “Where is she?”
The guard was frightened by the general's sudden reaction, “Sh…She was discovered in an abandoned building near Prince Minho’s residence. We followed her and now she is residing in Prince Jimin’s residence.” Eunho frowned when he heard where she was staying, “Why is she staying there?” General Eunho will surely skewer him alive if he finds out what happened. The guard gulped, “The prince let her stay in his residence to shelter her from Prince Minho.”

The urgency became clear in the General’s voice, “We must hurry to the palace!” Eunho had this sinking feeling that once Prince Jimin got a hold of Yuna, he would do something to her. Yuna was a bright, beautiful, innocent soul that could be easily corrupted by guys like Prince Jimin. His flirty nature irked Eunho everytime he had the chance to speak to him. Even if the world was ending, he wouldn’t let Prince Jimin be with Yuna. NOT A CHANCE!

Eunho instructed, “Inform Prime Minister Junho of Yuna’s location. We must swiftly get her out of the palace immediately.” Eunho didn’t wait around for the soldier. He leapt onto the rooftops and arrived at the horse stables. He took the reins and hopped on his horse. He was currently residing in a house near the palace. He knew that Yuna was somewhere hidden in the palace, but didn’t know where.

Once he reached the gates, he went around to the side of the walls. He knew that getting in through the entrance was going to be difficult. He reached in his horse saddlebag and grabbed the black mask. He covered his face and tied the horse down. He then stealthily climbed the palace walls. Once he was over the palace walls, he leapt over rooftops till he reached Prince Jimin’s residence.

It was dark out and the only source of light came from the night sky and the torches lit by the guards. With Eunho’s black attire, no one was able to tell that he was there. He moved one of the roof tiles to look inside. Prince Jimin’s room was empty. He frowned when he discovered that the prince wasn’t in his room. He imagined Prince Jimin and Yuna holding each other in bed. The thought of Prince Jimin and Yuna sharing one bed and being intimate made his skin crawl.

He felt his face turn bright red with anger. He quickly put the tile back and went around to the buildings meant for guests in the crown prince’s residence. He pulled up the tiles and noticed a lump in the blanket. He sighed in relief when he noticed that there was only one lump. No one else was lying there. The person sleeping there must be Yuna. He could only see the long black hair. He put aside more of the tiles and jumped into the bedroom.

************************************

Prince Jimin was sleeping soundly when he heard a loud thump behind him. It must be an assassin! Jimin pretended to sleep until he felt movement grow closer to him. He was in the guest bedroom without a weapon. He usually kept a dagger under his pillow in these situations. Jimin knew how to protect himself regardless. He quickly turned around and kicked the assassin in the chest.

The man behind him was quick, he grabbed the foot and whispered, “Yuna, it’s me.” Jimin was shocked to find out it wasn’t an assassin, but then who was this man? Jimin angrily whispered, “Who are you?” Jimin looked towards the bed to see if he had awakened Yuna, but she wasn’t there. Where did she go? Jimin lit the candle beside the bed and discovered that she was no longer beside him. Eunho noticed this. His heart grew cold. Yuna was sleeping next to him?

He wanted to punch Prince Jimin in the face until he noticed his face. Eunho didn’t laugh very much, but he couldn’t help it. He burst out laughing. Prince Jimin was outraged at the man in the black mask. While Eunho was distractedly laughing at his appearance, he had the chance to remove his mask. It was General Eunho. Jimin glowered at him suspiciously, “Why are you laughing at me?” Eunho pointed at his face. Jimin touched his face and found that there was ink on his face.

He walked over to the mirror and discovered that his face was covered in black ink. He looked like a panda! Yuna must’ve drawn on his face. He wanted to be angry, but couldn’t, knowing who the culprit was. He could only laugh at himself. He couldn’t believe that he slept soundly enough to not notice that she drew on his face. In all his years, he slept restlessly. He was constantly worried that he would be assassinated in his sleep. He must’ve slept soundly because it was Yuna sleeping next to him. He never experienced this with other women. He still could not sleep soundly.

Eunho coughed, “So, where is she?” Eunho wanted to be angry at Jimin, but couldn’t seem to get angry at him when he noticed the funny drawing on his face. Yuna must’ve drawn on his face while he was sleeping. It still angered him when he thought of what they could’ve done in the same bed, but something told him that Yuna wasn’t that type. He trusted her. She’s innocent and pure, unlike the rest of the females in the palace. Both Eunho and Jimin wondered, where could she have gone?
